Off to Grandma's and Grandpa Bonnalie's house we go

We can't go a holiday season without traveling since our family doesn't live near us.  We made a trip to my parents the weekend after Christmas this year.  Don't have many pictures... but Katelyn got an amazing trike, yes its Katelyn's but she likes to just RIDE.

Merry Christmas 2013

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday which ever you prefer.  We had a low key Christmas with just our little family!  Actually, Santa had to make a special trip to our house today since I worked yesterday (Christmas)! Although we are a day late we are having a great day!  Kiersten got a new pink bed from Santa and since this she has decided her and her sister need to share a room...

We are so fortunate to have some great neighbors and friends! We don't have family up here in North Idaho which can be so hard sometimes, but it's so nice to have experienced like this! Kiersten loves having Hannah as her best friend and neighbor! Someday I'm sure we or them will move from the neighborhood and it will be a very sad day!  Thanks for being amazing neighbors!

Pearl Jam Concert - George was in Heaven

We had an amazing time with friends Nick and Wendy at the sold out Pearl Jam concert!  We are thankful for family to come up when we need and want some time away! We actually had a night away in Spokane! It was an awesome concert and the FIRST time concert George and I have ever been to!  I was very disappointed that they didn't play "Last Kiss" though!

The last bite...swiped by the Cookie Monster.

When reviewing my pictures to make sure I didn't miss any good ones I found this beauty, I call it Katelyn the Cookie Monster.  She had literally just swiped the last bite of Kiersten's cookie out of Kiersten's hand and shoved it in her mouth...
I'm not sure how I even caught this moment... but it sums up what Katelyn is... The Cookie "Monster".

Super Star Week

I have a superstar... for the week! (well always really)
It's Kiersten's week to have her HUGE photo on the wall along with all the things she loves now and has grown up loving.

The things she chose were:  Pictures of her family and of course Hannah the neighbor girl. Her favorite book to read at the moment: Goldilocks and the three bears (she had to read it in front of the class).  Her Starlight, soccer trophey, her stuffed animal puppy that she loves to this day and her buzzy bee from the bee movie.  Her first ever favorite movie was the bee and she had a ton of the bee characters!

Christmas Cards...

I decided that it might be fun to make our Christmas cards with the girls... unsure what they are going to turn out like and really unsure if I will send them out as our family cards. haha

Our New Table - It's what brings my family together every night

If you know me and who I grew up with you know I love rustic old stuff that has personality and character along with a story.  This table I've been looking forward to having for a while now and mom and dad have been teasing me with photos... we finally got it into the house and will add more character to it over the years!! The dinner table is the thing that brings my family together every night and I'm so lucky to have this piece that my mom and dad worked so hard on to redo for my family!

Miss Personality

She is all personality!!  Love her but she is for sure my second child!  God gave her to me second for a reason... We most likely wouldn't have had another one, had we had her first!! :)

Happy Halloween–Trick or Treat ~ 2013

Today we decided to venture to down town Coeur d’Alene for some trick or treating with the business instead of doing the neighborhood thing!  This is the first year we have every done this.  It was an experience!  If both my girls were Kiersten’s age it would have been great, however, Katelyn believes she is independent and its quite the task to keep her up with all the other kids!    She throws a fit every time I try to hold her hand or help guide her in the direction we should be going!  Finally, about half way through the businesses she got a sucker open and I carried her the rest of the way…and all was finally good at that point!  On the brighter side…  Kiersten loved it, said it was the best Halloween she has ever had and I do believe that was because she got to be with her friends from school! We went down town with one of her good friends Macy, Macy’s sister Josie, and her mom Mary.  While we were down there she got to see many of her other friends from school as well, so in her eyes, “It was the best Halloween ever!”

Pumpkin Carving

This year was Katelyn’s first pumpkin carving experience.  Last year she crawled around us as we carved but she never had an interest in actually touching the pumpkins.  This year I was shocked to see that she not only wanted her pumpkin but she actually stuck her hand inside of it and didn’t really cringe!  She helped get the seeds out at first but she actually found it more fun to take the seeds from the bowl and put them back in the already carved pumpkins!  Needless to say we had to empty the pumpkins a few times through out the carving experience this year. Katelyn also hated when anyone else was working on HER pumpkin!

Every year we have an amazing time and Greenbluff and the corn maze.  The pictures are always good!

Fillings at the dentist

So when Kiersten had her dentist appointment they found out that she had some cavities. We went in and had them fixed today and she did so well! She got a shot and had two cavities filled and she never cried or expressed any fear! Of course I didn't tell her what was going to happen before hand, which in this case I think was better!  The only thing she hated was, once we got home, the feeling of numbness in her mouth.  She did fine with that until it started to wake up and tingle. At that point she said, "This feeling is freaking me out mom!" Luckily her appointment was in the evening and I just told her to go to bed and when she woke up it would be fine. The next morning when she awoke, she came running into our bedroom to tell me that her mouth was just fine.
