The start to summer time fun…

Bloomsday 2013

Last year I did Bloomsday and was horribly out of shape and this year I vowed to do it, and to do it with a little more grace.  I got my brother into running recently and he came up and ran it with me.  I am happy to say that I ran the whole thing.  My pace last year was 18.14min per mile and this years was 13.01 per mile!!  Much improved however still working on speed and distance.  However, it was great to run it with my brother and have my mom walking it as well.

Gardening for the first time

Yes, this year we have decided to take on a few small gardening items.  Tomatoes have become my favorite and I’ve heard they are super easy to grow in pots.  So Kiersten and I decided we were going to start them from seeds!!  Here is the beginning…

Easter 2013

We had a great Easter morning before I had to head off to work.  The girls woke up early and saw their baskets and then Kiersten was out to the yard to find the eggs the bunny had left us!

Sunlight on a new beginning!

Kiersten has become my partner for my runs.  While I’m learning to “be a runner” again Kiersten is taking on bike riding for long distances with me.  We are both doing great and I love this picture of Kiersten with the rays of sun shining down on her.  This was on one of our runs/bike rides!  Soon she will be removing the training wheels!

My trouble maker!

Kiersten was super easy.  I've decided that the powers to be give us an easy child to begin with so that we will have more!  Katelyn sure isn't my easy child!! She doesn't sleep like Kiersten and she gets into everything.  This picture... pretty much sums up my trouble maker.  I baby proof something...and it still doesn't stop her!

Katelyn's First Birthday

I can't believe my baby is turning 1.  Seems like just yesterday George and I were talking about wethere we wanted kids or not!!   Everything with Katelyn is bitter sweet because although I enjoy watching her grow and learn... she is my LAST, firsts!  So this is our last First Birthday as parents and its very bitter!  I love my girls to death and can't imagine my life without them.

We also got to stay at the hotel in town for her birthday so the girls could play in the pool with Grandma Kate and Grandpa Den.  It was a great time!
