Color Me Rad

In June I got to experience the fun of the “Color me Rad” race.  If you haven’t been a runner, but want to have a goal of doing a 5K this one is it.  It’s a lot of fun and gives  you something to plan to do!  My brother came up and ran it with me along with my friend Erin.

Gymnastics

Since all Kiersten could think about was monkey bars and summer saults at soccer we decided to enroll her in gymnastics… its become her LOVE!

Soccer 2013

So we did soccer for the 3rd and final year!  We decided that Kiersten would much rather be in gymnastics since at her final game her statement to us was, “I can’t wait for the game to be over so I can go play on the monkey bars!”   I will say I was happy that she learned a life lesson in sportsmanship, this coach made them go thank the Refs, other coach, and parents every game! Because of this the team got the sportsmanship award for the season!  So here are her final soccer pictures….

Bloomsday 2013

Last year I did Bloomsday and was horribly out of shape and this year I vowed to do it, and to do it with a little more grace.  I got my brother into running recently and he came up and ran it with me.  I am happy to say that I ran the whole thing.  My pace last year was 18.14min per mile and this years was 13.01 per mile!!  Much improved however still working on speed and distance.  However, it was great to run it with my brother and have my mom walking it as well.

Gardening for the first time

Yes, this year we have decided to take on a few small gardening items.  Tomatoes have become my favorite and I’ve heard they are super easy to grow in pots.  So Kiersten and I decided we were going to start them from seeds!!  Here is the beginning…
