The last Campout at "The Riverbank" 2014

Last Summer we fell in love with the St. Joe River! This year we were fortunate enough to be able to lease a chunk of property that are friends own, which they want to sell. We are hoping to buy it in May if everything aligns!  We made some amazing memories the summer and we can't wait to go back for many more years to come here are the pictures from our last weekend campout on the St. Joe of 2014!

Katelyn would finally hold the frogs by the end of the summer!
Just a selfie on the River Bank
The girls LOVED the water, even when it was freezing, and they were naked!
The last sunset of the summer!
A little "smoke on the water" on the last morning on the Joe of 2014.
I'm sure he was dreaming of next summer!
Such a super sad moment when he pulled the camper out for the summer.
The fire pit is officially done for the year.  Until next summer!!!

Katelyn's first hair style

While kiersten had her first day of school, and since I took the day off, Katelyn and I made the most of it!  We went and got Katelyn's first real haircut, with a style!

First day of first grade ~ Kiersten

Well my oldest is officially a first grader! She was so excited to go to first grade with no fear. Prior to school starting I told her that I would be taking her to school and picking her up on the first day.  She didn't think that was needed, and asked me why I wasn't going to work! Yes my first grader is very independent! when I told her that I took the day off to help her get to where she was supposed to go and make sure that she wasn't scared, she asked me why I thought she would be scared! I told her that I thought she might be scared because it's a new school and she won't have any friends there! Then my wise first grader informed me that she didn't need to be scared because when she started at ABCD she didn't have any friends there either, I'll just make some she said!

Yes I'm very proud that she's very independent! However, it makes me very sad that my first grader doesn't need her mama!

Deyo Reservoir and a little geocaching

We took a trip up to Deyo Resevoir and along the way we went geo-caching or "Treasure Hunting" as my kids call it.  It was a great time with my mom and dad, brother Mark and Heather and her kids.

The Summer is coming to an end...

With only a couple weekends left in the summer or taking advantage of every moment we can on the river! This weekend however was a little bittersweet. We pulled the dock out of the river which signifies Summers coming to an end. The girls are still holding on to every moment in the water and I hope to have many more summers in this water to come in their future! With the summer coming to an end I had to do a little photo session with the girls over by the trees at the end of the property! My hope is that every year I'll be able to take their photos by these trees and we'll see how the two of grown throughout our lifetime! As sentimental as I am, The girls don't let me forget how sassy they are!  I just love their personalities and can't imagine this life without them, they truly bring a whole new sass to our world!

Kiersten's Kindergarten Graduation

ABCD did an amazing Kindergarten graduation.  Kiersten was in heaven and it is awesome that the school does such an amazing thing to celebrate these kids. I can't speak enough high remarks about ABCD.  They have been a part of our family since Kiersten was two and I can't imagine my kids going anywhere else.  They truly are like family and I'm so glad that we get to have a safe place that we trust more than anything to watch our kids when we are working.  It is a sad day for us to think that Kiersten will be moving to a different school in September but I'm very thankful for what they have done for her as she has grown up to be an amazing, wonderful, independent, smart, young lady.  I'm just glad we don't officially have to say goodbye since Katelyn is there now.

The school buys real graduation cap and gowns for the kids, rents out a different building that makes the kids feel like this is such a special event, and does real Kindergarten graduation photos.  Kiersten really really loved it and although she may not remember it forever, I know she will remember it for a long time to come.  She swears it was the "The best day ever!"

Thanks Chris and Andy for continuing to make ABCD an amazing place for all of our kids to go.  We couldn't do it without you and all the teachers there that take amazing care of our children.

Kiersten the Turkey Hunter

Kiersten looks forward to turkey hunting every year (probably because they got a turkey the first time the first year she went)... This year wasn't any different!! She is definitely a princess at home that cares about what she is wheeling and that she looks cute, be she still gets out with her dad and puts on the camo!

Easter - 2014

We got to spend Easter weekend in Orofino with my family.  It was a great time because we got to spend it with my brother and Nichelle.    The kids had a great time together, except Kiersten was sick with a stomach bug.  She was such a trooper the whole time.  She spend most of the day laying on the couch or in the bathroom but she did not want to miss any of the fun out hunting eggs!!  When you want to do something it is amazing what she can put her mind to.  She absolutely looked miserable but she did the Easter egg hunt like a trooper!!
