Kiersten's First Loose Tooth

Kiersten has her first loose tooth.  I wasn't prepared to deal with this so soon.  Many of my friend's children haven't lost their teeth and they are much older.  This was a big reality check... My Girls Will Grow Up.  So not only did her tooth get loose, she isn't a wimp when it comes to pulling them either.  Her tooth had only been loose for a little less than a week.  Every chance she got she was wiggling the thing, which really was quite gross.  I had felt the tooth the night before it came out and it was loose however still seemed pretty solid in her gums.  However, The morning of Kiersten's Christmas concert we were on the way to school, all dressed up in her fancy Christmas dress when all of a sudden from the back seat I hear Kiersten say, "Mom, I have something to show you!"  I said "what?" not realizing about what I was going to hear.  With excitement in her voice she shouts, "My Tooth, My tooth came out!"  Of course these words couldn't have came and the most inopportune time... Driving 70MPH down the freeway to school!  I glanced back at her in the rear view mirror and what did I see...  A very proud 4 year old with a tooth in her right hand and smile a mile wide with a big space where she pulled her tooth, and in my horror, BLOOD running down her chin.  I was excited for her, however, I really didn't want BLOOD on her Christmas dress for the concert.  Thank goodness, since I have had children, I typically have wet wipes just a arms length away and this was the case today as well.  No blood on the dress!!   Once the excitement had passed, a few minutes later, I asked her how she got the tooth out since it really wasn't all that loose.  Her response was that she just kept twisting and twisting and it just "Popped out".  I cringed when she told me but she said she just had to get it out because if she didn't, "She just knew it would pop out, while she was singing in her Christmas concert in front of everyone."
