Carson and Kiersten ~ Christmas 2012

No one can ever deny the connection that these two kiddos have!  Whenever we are able to visit these two pickup just where they left off!  I really wish we could live closer, because I know these two would for sure be best friends if they could be together more often!

Our Christmas Eve tradition… Every year we get everyone gifts for Christmas Eve, It is always the same thing….PAJAMAS.  Well we found out that Kiersten despises getting pajamas!  Every year she thinks she is going to be able to open a toy and she is very disappointed when it is just pajamas!  Can’t wait to see her reaction next year! hehehe  This is Kiersten with a fake smile!  I pretty much had to hold her down to have her wear her new pajamas!

Christmas in Orofino ~ 2012

This was the first Christmas that really stood out with Nichele and Katelyn.  They showed a little interest in presents and it was a great time.  We also got to go up and visit Darold and Marcie and their family.  My Cousin Ashley was there with her twin boys!  They are very entertaining and a handful for sure!! Best of luck Ashley!

Kiersten's First Loose Tooth

Kiersten has her first loose tooth.  I wasn't prepared to deal with this so soon.  Many of my friend's children haven't lost their teeth and they are much older.  This was a big reality check... My Girls Will Grow Up.  So not only did her tooth get loose, she isn't a wimp when it comes to pulling them either.  Her tooth had only been loose for a little less than a week.  Every chance she got she was wiggling the thing, which really was quite gross.  I had felt the tooth the night before it came out and it was loose however still seemed pretty solid in her gums.  However, The morning of Kiersten's Christmas concert we were on the way to school, all dressed up in her fancy Christmas dress when all of a sudden from the back seat I hear Kiersten say, "Mom, I have something to show you!"  I said "what?" not realizing about what I was going to hear.  With excitement in her voice she shouts, "My Tooth, My tooth came out!"  Of course these words couldn't have came and the most inopportune time... Driving 70MPH down the freeway to school!  I glanced back at her in the rear view mirror and what did I see...  A very proud 4 year old with a tooth in her right hand and smile a mile wide with a big space where she pulled her tooth, and in my horror, BLOOD running down her chin.  I was excited for her, however, I really didn't want BLOOD on her Christmas dress for the concert.  Thank goodness, since I have had children, I typically have wet wipes just a arms length away and this was the case today as well.  No blood on the dress!!   Once the excitement had passed, a few minutes later, I asked her how she got the tooth out since it really wasn't all that loose.  Her response was that she just kept twisting and twisting and it just "Popped out".  I cringed when she told me but she said she just had to get it out because if she didn't, "She just knew it would pop out, while she was singing in her Christmas concert in front of everyone."

The Nutcracker

My neighbor has talked about going to the nutcracker many times in the past and taking her girls.  This year I finally decided that I should take Kiersten.  So I purchased the tickets and we left Katelyn and Dad at home for the event.  Kiersten and I got all dressed up and went to the show, GIRL TIME.  She thought it was so fun that we both dressed up together and got to go!  Times like these I really need to hold on to, because before I know it, she will be begging me NOT to take her!
