Kiersten Drake - 4 Months
Kiersten at 4 months old... what a doll! We love her so much and can't imagine life without her already. She has already found her feet and holds her own bottle. She is wrapped around her daddy's little finger already and they love to take naps together... on the floor.

Kiersten Laughing
Kiersten started laughing today! What she laughs at is her dad making bomb/fire cracker like noises. She leans up against his legs and faces him and when he makes these noises...she laughs like crazy. Its the cutest most innocent laugh I've ever heard! To bad you can't hear it in photos!!

Kiersten in the sling and on the Motorcycle
Her first experience on a motorcycle... just sitting here with it OFF, but daddy was happy to have her on it with him!!
And I keep her in the swaddle sling all the time. She gets pretty comfy and this is how I get things done around the house with the little baby.

The day we found out we would be PARENTS
Today is a Thursday and I thought I needed to write this down. Monday, the day after mothers day, I took a pregnancy test. The results showed up after about 30 seconds which shocked me because it says to wait 3 minutes.
I really wasn't expecting it to be positive. We had so many months that I was slightly late but never was positive. before I took the test I was thinking that I wasn't going to be pregnant but that it would be okay if I was. Then all the sudden the results were positive and all I could say was "oh my god, we're pregnant" and then at that moment I walked around the house in a daze. George was at work so I had no body to tell at the moment. After I walked around the house in a daze for a while then I sat myself down and thought how I was going to tell George. I thought about all the ways I had wanted to tell him. My original plan was to buy a car seat and put it in his back seat so it was there when he got off work. But unfortunately that plan didn't work out because I didn't have enough time. Instead I wrote a poem about it and revealed it that way. I met him at his work at the end of the day and his first words were "Are you serious?"
So here I am 4 days later, finally settled with the fact that I'm going to be a mom, and now I can't wait to decorate my nursery. We aren't going to tell the parents until the first trimester is over and my first appointment is next Friday. The first appointment will just be a health history. The second appointment they will tell me how far along we are and then the third appointment we will here the heart beat. How Exciting.

Bachelors in Science of Nursing
Although I already had my degree and was working as a nurse at our local hospital I was determined to get my bachelors degree since it was what I had set my goal as when I first graduated high school. I'm proud to say I officially have my Bachelors in Science of Nursing.

The Day I Married My Best Friend...
We had an amazing rehearsal dinner with friends and family and our wedding day was even better. The ceremony was at my parents house and directly after the wedding George and I went down to the river and my sister Christy took our pictures on the beach. This let us leave the wedding a bit early and gave everyone else plenty of time to get down to the reception. All day we were in the house preparing for the wedding and it rained all day. We watched the weather like a hawk and the radio even said "If you have any events outside, you should move them indoors." We held out hope and a few hours before the ceremony the rain went away and we had a beautiful overcast day, which is great for pictures.
The ceremony was awesome... short and sweet with toast in the middle of it.

Rehearsal Dinner
We had a relaxed rehearsal dinner with lots of food and beer. George's parents cooked ribs as the main dish for rehearsal and of course I had Den cook me a cheeseburger... ribs just aren't my thing. Both the rehearsal and the wedding were held in my Parent's front yard. It was an amazing weekend.
